I agree with the last three posts that Chuck's porn name was Lance Landers, although he is not immediately recognizable in the porn videos because his head was clean-shaven on Dr. Phil. All of the porn videos I could find are gay, not straight. So since he was married to Amanda, I'm guessing he performed gay-for-pay. I wonder if anyone else thinks that Dr. Phil's confrontation of Chuck and his "secrets" was truly ethical. There are internet posts from other licensed psychologists that have questioned some of Dr. Phil's tactics on other shows. That said, I didn't really like that Dr. Phil pressured Chuck to reveal his secret past on and secret plan for another porn video to his wife and in-laws on national television. There was just something about it which seemed to violate the confidentiality that should exist between a client and a treatment provider. And lastly, if Amanda treated Chuck the way she was portrayed to have done on the show, I am not surprised that Chuck finally shut down in their relationship. Seems like there was plenty of blame to go around. I'd be surprised if Chuck and Amanda's marriage is now intact. Dr. Phil promised a "follow up" at the end, but I never saw any follow up on their status.
I'll add this to the above comment. "Dr. Phil" was a daytime show that heavily catered to a female audience. If you watched the show often, you'd know that Dr. Phil rarely took the side of the husband in a marital dispute. Even when I thought a husband had legitimate complaints, Dr. Phil usually took the wife's side.
This particular episode illustrated the point even further. Dr. Phil confronted Chuck about his secret porn past and embarrassed him on national TV, but I never saw an episode when he confronted a female porn actress about her "secret past." In straight porn, there are as many female actresses as there are male actors. Just sayin' that I didn't particularly like the show because I could see through the hidden agenda. The ratings were better when Dr. Phil took the wife's side.
