Cock ring fit?

I've found numerous websites that show how to measure for a cock ring.
I measure around "everything" , I want the cock ring to go behind my balls.
I'm coming up with 8.5", or almost 69 mm . I'm not hung long but I think everything
is thicker than normal. Metal cock rings seem to be 55 mm or less.
I'm trying to figure out how a 55mm would work on 69mm body?
How much smaller than measurement do you usually order?
Am I doing something wrong?
I plan on starting with a silicone type, but that won't help my measurement issues when I switch to metal.

Glands ring seems simpler, 4" is a nice snug fit, 32mm .

I'm 9" around my cock and balls, but my favorite ring is 60mm. As a general rule I say subtract about 10%, and start there. 9" is about 72/73mm, but a 70mm ring has a tendency to fall off. I recommend buying an assortment of metal rings, and find what's most comfortable for you before you buy more expensive ones... and yes. Anything over 50mm is hard to find, but is still doable. If you have any more questions, just ask.

I recommend starting off with a cheap assortment like this, it will give you a general idea of what sizes you like.

Jon, Thanks for the reply.
I do have a couple questions,
you put it on when you are soft and it enables you to get hard but it
stops or slows down it getting soft? It almost sounds like a one way valve, allowing blood in but not out ( as easy) ?
Guys report harder than usual erections.
You have intercourse while wearing one with no problems?

Most of my rings are sized for casual wear... It doesn't cause an erection, but does help me stay chubbed up. I do have a couple of smaller rings that I had bought because the sizes of the rings were posted wrong online. My smallest is a 48mm firm silicone ring. Its a challenge to get on, but does cause an erection pretty much immediately, and I wouldn't wear this one more than a few minutes. My 2 favorite rings are 58mm and 60mm. They're comfortable for all day wear, and don't generally fall off unless I'm very active.
