Make sure you get the right size for your cock. I started with a silicone one and went through a few of them. I got my first metal one recently. I had the same hesitation as you but I took the plunge and ordered one to try. Granted it's trickier than a silicone one to put on, but once you get a hang of it it isn't so bad.

Remember you are putting on the cock rings soft and at the base of your cock so how thick you are at the tip or midway down does not play into it. You can also buy a cock ring that is leather with snaps that are adjustable. With an adjustable one you can take it off if it's hurts.

If you are 7 thick at the base I would stick with rubber ones or better yet leather one with snaps. The only ones I can use are the 2. I think they make ones bigger...

If you want bigger ones like 3 or bigger I have one place you can by high quality cock rings for a lot cheaper.... buy the at a sailing catalog or boat store. They sell them for sailing they are the same rings guys use. (the simple one that is).

To fit the ring, I stretch it wide with the fingers of both hands then carefully slip it over my shaft and both balls all in one go. Release the fingers very gently. Lube helps a bit, but it's not essential.

Ha! Well, if the ring's too tight it'll hurt. Too loose, and you might as well not have it on. The sweet spot is when your balls are telling you "oh, yeah!!!" and get super-sensitive, and your shaft breaks out in veins. Check my gallery

I have had some cheaper silicone rings snap fairly easily. But the sizes were not right to begin with and I foolishly tried to make them fit. That’s what I get for buying the cheap 3packs.
