I don't understand why these men can't just keep it this way. He's famous for being cute and having a nice body he has to show off for likes. That's all.
Why don't these social media socialites just keep it this way and avoid the drama?
I would have just deleted the weird video of punching/kicking a bush and just left social media for a day or two. Then, just continued with my thirst traps even harder. Why he felt the need to antagonize people further shows his true personality that no one likes or cares for. It really is that simple

You are right. But there are plenty of guys on social media who post things with their shirt on and get plenty of attention. If Cody's non-gay followers are more interested in what he's saying, they would read his words regardless of whether he's shirtless. Last Sunday, he posted another one of his "Sunday Services" messages (of course shirtless) that was "liked" by Aaron Schock. I commented on that post, asking him if Aaron liked the post because of the shirtless photo or the message. To my surprise, he responded saying, "the message, most likely".
I think Cody needs to talk to his pastor about anger management. Maybe the topic should be "What Would Jesus Do"? I was a very bad Catholic and didn't read the bible but I don't think Jesus would respond like Cody did if Jesus was on Instagram.
Cody really needs to take lessons from Nick Walker. He's goofy, but not too childish. Shows off his body all the time for the thirst traps. So you don't remember his political post before the U.S. 2020 election where he was asking who you were voting for.
He posted a photo of Biden and then Trump. Biden overwhelmingly won his poll. Then Cody said the algorithm wasn't fair for posting Trump's picture first and decided to redo the poll. Biden won the poll again the second time and Cody never brought up the winner and just said congrats to everyone who voted and may the best man win.
Regardless of who you prefer, you can't open the can of worms and then act coy when your preferred candidate doesn't win your own poll LOL
