I've followed him for years and he's never really pro... anything. He seems the very basic, safe, middle-ground type. His ex - who he dated for several years - was very liberal and he himself follows a bunch of Democrats, but... he also follows some conservative news outlets, one of his closest friends is very conservative, and he comes from a religious family.

It's interesting that he hasn't really taken off and it doesn't seem like he will. Safe doesn't really cut it anymore. I'm watching a bunch of up-and-comers gain popularity very quickly for being more decisive and ambitious than he was at their age.
