There are many black-and-white photos of male nudity from the mid-20th century on this site, usually focusing on nude bonding and camaraderie in athletic and military settings (for example, see "Life Magazine Archives"). I thought I would try to colorize some of these using online AI photo colorization tools, such as this one and this one. Here are some of the results which I thought looked pretty good. I invite anyone who is interested to try colorizing their favorite photos of this type, and post the results in this thread.

@Batman48 to me it seems to add life to these old photographs which they never had they always looked sort of dry and washed out. The one photograph I copied and pasted seems to have an issue with muddy water coming out of the showers? Seems to be on all ON showers, looks as though it may have inherited the skin tone?

Excellent work. I’d like to see the black and white photos included. It would give a better idea of how well this software works.

Here are the original B&W images; many more like them can be found in the "Life Magazine archive" thread linked above. These photos seem to have been taken by Life photographers, eventually ending up in the Life archives, but they most likely did not appear in print.

It's weird, but I guess because were more accustomed to it, the color makes the black & white seem less "real".
