There were 4 of us in here at once yesterday. My mates' Dad came in, which could have been very awkward but it's really not if you are comfortable with yourself. He went and used the shower next to me, don't think he noticed it was me at first... But he started chatting and it was as if we were anywhere else. That's what is so great about communal showers. You can just be completely comfortable and relaxed baring absolutely everything with nothing to hide.

I think it hasn't been refurbished yet. But there is paper near the reception saying that it is going to be refurbished soon, with a picture on it, and it doesn't look like they are going to make cubicles for the showers... We will see.

Bloomsbury is good but most guys use the closed/private showers and its rare those are all full.

Went to South Bank Uni Academy of Sport but it was dead in the showers. Not sure if there's a peak time? Would be good otherwise.

Any thoughts on which Better Gym locations are best with open showers? Brixton? Clapham? Marshall Street? I think some may have been rehabbed.

@YngTriGuy Marshall St is no longer a Better club but it still has open showers. Oasis is probably the best right now for hot, well-used communal showers, but as others have pointed out, they're being refurbed and will almost certainly be made more private. The Better gym in Hammersmith has decent communal showers, as does Kentish Town Leisure Centre.

I have to say... Am really shocked. I'd be pissed off if I found out someone did that to me. It's had nearly 88k views - absolute violation. As much as I find the whole open shower thing a turn on, I think this is unacceptable behaviour..
