i think the issue the other user is pointing out is connor, who still very much presents himself as straight, keeps pulling these stunts, be it with things like this cafe or his obsession over yaoi. and for most of his audience, who perceive him as straight, it's a straight dude doing gay things for laughs/content. for others, it's like "what's going on here? is he one of us? or is he just making this because he knows it'll bring in all the gays and yaoi fangirls to get views?". so obviously a few people are gonna be a bit annoyed that while still presenting himself as straight(no, that tweet from years ago doesn't count, most of his audience won't even have seen that reply), he keeps doing gay things for views
even tho it was obviously just for the bit, maybe he liked it?
for all we know the yaoi cafe vid (ontop of just being good content) was an excuse to fake kiss a guy on cam to see his fans reactions.
