If he were, he would have been open about it. He's been open about more private things before.

He's just a straight guy who stumbled upon a heavily gay audience in his early days and (maybe non-maliciously) went for the queerbaiting route while he found his footing as an online personality.

After he found a bigger, more financially-contributing audience as a streamer/podcaster, he stopped all the gay-ish/thirsty content he used to make. That's why there are no more yaoi readalongs or crappy cosplay videos where he'd show skin. He tried to balance both for a little while with the yaoi cafe, gay bar, and rent-a-boyfriend videos, but you can see he wasn't really enjoying it.

Thank goodness Chris still exploits his sex appeal on Wacky Weekend and gets him in the bath nearly every episode or we might not even see him shirtless anymore.
