damn. maybe because he's regularly standing next to japanese people, who do tend to be much shorter. and i always assumed the cosplay stuff not fitting him even at the largest size was because they're made for standard east asian bodies, not tall europeans, but i legit didn't realize he was like 5'8''. could've easily fooled me into thinking he's around 6ft

A lot of 5'8" guys including myself all tend to be around 5'8" & 3/4" lol, I hear it like every time it's basically implied, so being 5'9"+ in shoes may be why he seems taller.
I used to do that as well but I just rounded up to 6 because saying 5' 11" and 3/4ths was stupid even though that was my actual measured height. Don't know why they have to be so specific, so my family can buy the right box to put me in? lol
Using fractions for heights is insane. That'd be like me saying I'm 1.705m. That 5 ain't doing shit there
