I've created this post with the sole objective of gaining some insight into something that's been bothering me for longer than I can remember.

I'm a relatively new content creator on Twitter and JustForFans. I decided to take this path because, truth be told, I tend to have a lot of Grindr hookups, so it only made sense to capitalize on it, right? Well, that's what I thought. What I didn't realize is how difficult it is to find top content creators to collaborate with.

What I can't seem to wrap my head around is why some content creators choose to produce both topping and bottoming content on their profiles. As a bottom, as soon as I learn that my top has bottomed, let alone bottoms on a regular basis, it's gameover for me, and I won't see him in the same light ever again.

Aren't these content creators losing fans because they're attempting to capitalize from all angles? To me, it looks disingenuous, confusing, and erodes their credibility. Personally, I don't think 'Vers' exists, and if it does, it represents a very small proportion of our community. I'd estimate that around 75% of gays in my area identify as 'Vers' on Grindr. While I can't speak for all of them, I've surveyed countless self-proclaimed 'Vers' friends over the years, and if I were to identify the general consensus of my findings, it's that by default, they're bottoms. They are bottoms who can and will top should the need or mood arise. If these individuals are primarily, and in some cases exclusively, only bottoming, then why can't they be honest and pick a lane? Where I struggle is that I need to feel confident that I can give my partner 100% of what he needs. So, what I'm trying to say is that if a bottom hooks up with a 'Vers' dude, it's essentially two bottoms hooking up and while I'm certain that it could be a fun and enjoyable experience for some, at the end of the day neither partner are walking away fully satisfied. I'm at a standstill with this one and I'm here to genuinely solicit and ask for your opinions and experience relating to the matter.

By no means is the intention of this post to incite prejudice or hate. I'm genuinely looking for advice and feedback, as this seems to be the make or break in my content creation career.

At the end of the day they dont care about the quality or angle or fans. Just money . They know they will please enough of all parties. Some ppl like to see vers

I HATE OF content, usually cause it feels worse than a porno production they think their hot in sex acts and thats enough. It feels soooo fake. They probably collab even if they not into the guy just for content again for that bag

They are content creators they make as much content as they can. So they have fans that want to see them bottom and there are that wat to see them top. You will get fans that will ask you to top.
that is my point precisely. what bottom wants to see hole pics from their top? seems that by attempting to appease all, you'll appease none. what am I missing here?

I disagree with your position that verse doesn't really exist. While most guys may have a top or a bottom preference, in my experience guys who identify as verse truly enjoy both topping and bottoming, depending on circumstances, mood, etc. Likewise, when it comes to content creators, I find it incredibly hot to see some dominate top get plowed himself. Or that bottom with the huge cock to finally put it to use. Sure, I'm guessing some guys do it just to maximize revenue, but I think your personal preferences are just that.

Sounds like personal preference to me, but I can tell you that whenever I hear that opinion it is such a huge turn off. If I don't think something exists, doesn't make it any less real ijbol.

I'm sure some people get into content creation partially for the benefit of pleasure, but as with any business, you're there to make money/sell services. It's not about walking away satisfied, it's about giving your audience what they want. Good/successful content creators will pivot their content to cater to their audiences preferences. Me personally, I can't deal with blood so I'd never go into medicine, ya know? Sure, you could always do it as a hobby if you're not willing to work on growing your horizons; but, only you can decide what works for you!

Theres guys that i thought were so hot on OF but the way it feels so fake for the money is a huge turn off for me. Idk. So many guys naked for free and are genuine about what they like it’s ridiculous to pay these loosers rent when they cant even be authentic.

Watching a guy suck off an older verbal man while he whimpers for more d and you can tell they are REALLY INTO THIS AND ITS ALL IN THE MOMENT.
Is soooooo much hotter then these fake collabs that are only for money the sex feels sooo bland and boring.

Idk thats just me.
Cuz that one Keith Holland guy doesnt even show his D and actually scams ppl yet hes sooooo popular a guy bought a $30 vid of him showering and it showed almost nothing!!!

Edit: i think its not that they “cater” to the audience its that they are semi famous so i guys some ppl rather pay Keith for a shirtless pic and get scamed cuz hes famous rather than watch two guys have real hot authentic sex.
(Imo ofc)

Hey I appreciate you taking the time to write and share your thoughts. Still having a really hard time coming to terms with what you are saying but that's your prerogative and I respect that. Cheers

Hey Sean thanks for your explanation. As I mentioned, in addition to being a regular consumer (of OF content), I'm a creator as well. Seems to me that they'd lose more subscribers than they'd gain by attempting to appease everyone, which we all know isn't possible. You raised a great point.. while I love being a slut and exposing for others to watch and enjoy, I need to stay true to myself and if jumping on the Vers bandwagon is what it's going to take, then I've got a lot of pondering to do. Thanks for your input, your assessment is well received.

I appreciate you taking time to chime in and share your thoughts however I'm struggling to see how this relates to the topic at hand?

Well you do not have to watch it all offcourse just cherrypick. A lot of top porn actors bottom sometime and some bottoms top. Those OF guys are just porn actors.
You are not wrong. Indeed, I don't have to watch and I don't. No different than a woman walking in and seeing her man get plowed by a dude, it's not something I can pretend that I didn't see.

and that's something I just don't understand. Really wish I could but it makes absolutely no sense to me.

I don't mean for this to sound harsh or as if I'm attacking you. The viewpoint that you have is a "you problem," not an "everybody else problem." It feels like you've established a very strict, rigid definition of how you think people should behave sexually and can't understand why everyone else isn't following that strict, rigid definition that you created. In an attempt to keep that belief, you're essentially making the "there's no such thing as bisexual men, they're really just gay" argument. Disregarding another person's feelings and experiences as delusions because you don't agree with them isn't great.

In your personal life you can believe what you want, but capitalism is an entirely different realm. I would hazard a guess that the content creators you're talking about haven't lost fans because of the content they create. If they had and were aware of why, they would change their content. As I said above, I also don't think the majority of the people consuming their content share the beliefs that you do about said content.

How do you explain the fact that most bottoms feel this same way but are often too timid to vocalize it in fear of being attacked?

Versatile DEFINITELY is a thing. I think first-time chemistry is often more limiting, though. Those of us who KNOW we lean one direction or the other, if we even do anal in the first place, tend to be looking for what we know we prefer. When I've met people before, flipping happens. I generally prefer to bottom, but I enjoy topping, just need to be into the guy the right way, which sometimes doesn't happen at first connection. So much about sex and relationships is cerebral, so takes more time.

In my relationships, I've always met my partner's preferences, from about 50-50 to 99-1, top-bottom. I'm not meant to top most of the time, though I'm sure for the right guy I'd figure out what made it work, e.g. plugs, double-dildos, sharing companions, whatever would make sense.

What gets my gourd is how people misadvertise or omit important facts. I met up with one guy who was older than I and offered his big dick to fuck me, then when he showed up he was all bottom, said that he only tops for younger[-looking] guys and bottom for older[-looking] guys. The lack of honesty alone was enough to kill it for me, so I ended up taking him to a party where he found somebody else. From around age 10 to my late forties, I always looked older than I was, especially since I started showing gray in college (actually, age 17, but I yanked it out, lol). As I approached 50 and saw all my high school classmates on Facebook, I realized they had decidedly caught up. LOL

It's easier to bottom with mediocre chemistry. You know, after you've gone through all that effort to hook up and don't want the effort to be a complete waste.

And I tell ya, a LOT of guys claim to be exclusive and they're not. Again, chemistry makes things happen. Familiarity makes things happen. I tend to select bottom in my profiles where the options are limited to three, but if possible I'll clarify. A friend I knew because he was already my partner's friend took advantage of our open relationship when my guy was away for the weekend, came over to plow me with what turned out to be a huge cock. And wtf, I turned him over and fucked him without ever riding it. Fucked the shit out of him, he said. I still don't know what got into me because I LOVE a fat cock. I guess that's what kept me so hard and ready. Dangit. Whatever. Oops. X-D

I admit, it's a little easier to top with less interest when it's bareback; but I just couldn't do it through condoms unless I could stay hard enough throughout, which I almost always do when bottoming. My circumcision was way too tight, couldn't feel anything through a latex condom—to which it turned out I was allergic. Thank goodness for the newer non-latex condoms and their FAR better transfer of heat and sense of texture.

I love guys who will flip even just a little bit, to spice up the action, cover more bodily territory for both of us. I have an ex who claimed to be a top only, whom I would occasionally top anyway; but it took THREE YEARS for him to admit that he liked to bottom but couldn't hold out for more than a few seconds without cumming. And I believed him. :) I had already been turning it to our advantage. I knew exactly what to do to have him blow a big load in no more than half a minute, absolute max. He is an emotionally abusive asshole, though, so… fortunately he knows his loss. X-D

This is precisely my point. You said it yourself, you only bottom, so why call yourself Vers? If you were Vers, you would be topping too and wouldn't have had to find a top at that party...
