Are people really shocked that a show with a certain target audience wouldn't want an active porn star on it? I think David was correct because why would you put that name with those people in the interview? There are already certain groups that push the narrative Disney is "poisoning our youth".

I mean, he did appear alot more frequently until the end of the series. If I recall, didn’t he mention how there was a group chat between all the male cast members of the show, but he wasn’t included. Plus, David at the end of the day, let him do what he wants, it’s not like they moved on after the series, plus Dan isn’t the first actor who’s done movies, tv shows, etc., to only then move on to porn.
I get that, but why block him? He could’ve just unfollowed

This just messy because David could’ve and should’ve controlled his reaction and moved to the next topic. Dan is well aware that the fact he has and still does porn ruled him out from being considered in the reboot. But as he stated before, his work as an actor wasn’t paying the bills and to his knowledge, no reboot was in the works. On top of that he figured why not since someone already leaked nudes of him a few years earlier. So he used OF to take control of his narrative.
And I know, others have had scandalous jobs or leaks. Hell, Cerina Vincent played the mom in Stuck in the Middle and she was butt ass naked in Not Another Teen Movie. Jerry Russo (David Deluise) had nudes leak jo and spreading his ass, but he will likely return for the reboot because they need a few more cast members for nostalgia other than Selina.
But they weren’t as recent or graphic (just barely) as Dan’s, and he knew that and excepted it. Similar could be said for Isaak, Peyton and Kenton. Adam was still able to book small roles on Nick.
But the main problem is demonizing Dan when it’s not necessary. It would’ve took no effort to just name someone else to return and glide past Dan. But to comment and make faces as if you’re so much better of a person is wrong and should not have happened in front of that cast. To act that way when this is one of the first “significant” projects you’ve had in years is sad.
Disney shows have a lifespan of 4 seasons if they’re lucky. Many fizzle out after 2. The rare exception to this was Bunk’d and Ravens Home, which both did a soft second reboot. And still Dan clears what he stands to make even with being an actor/ ep by a large margin.
Like if he doesn’t like Dan, that’s fine but to make a point to shade, then block him on social media is a cowards move.

Now that I think about it! An agent needs to get Dan with Ryan Murphy. He will not care about any of his explicit material, he may even be inspired. One good role in a RM miniseries could be huge.
All I needed to know about what type of person David is is that he thinks Dan is a horrible person who doesn't deserve any film work (I get not working with Disney) and should be shunned but he gladly casted Mel Gibson who is a known racist and homophobic bigot in one of his movies and says he hopes to work with him again.
Dan is better off without people like David in his life.

Great points. A former actor like Dan can be useful for acting roles that may require nudity. Tyler Perry plucked a bunch of adult content creators to make his new Netflix series, so there is a market for Dan (albeit small).

I have to agree. It doesn’t sit well with me and really does paint a picture of David degrading sex workers. Especially since he could have easily been in the same shoes as Dan with work. Because let’s face it, what has David done since Wizard’s end? A Tubi original series role and a movie he directed that was produced by Selena Gomez. He should be thankful this reboot became a reality.

Team Dan. He seems to be a great guy, he looks great and he does a great job. At least he's open about being jerk-off material instead of appearing in a worldwide-broadcast show in basically an undershirt showing his nipples off. David Henrie should suck a dick because he'd really like it.
