Daniel Radcliffe

He was totally freaking cute in the prefects' bath scene. Moaning Myrtle was quite distracting, but Daniel (Harry) came off as natural and not inhibited.

Great!

Personally, I find this to be a bit unsettling. It creeps me out a bit to know that Daniel Radcliff who is associated with this Harry Potter character will appear nude.
I mean Harry Potter is basically a character in a children's book and there are enough pervos and pedaphiles out there that this association doesn't sit well with me. Perhaps if Daniel Radcliff waited til the whole Harry Potter film series was over and he was in his twenties and then did the role in Equus, there would be a comfortable distance.
As someone who was both physically and sexually abused as a child, this is where I am coming from, so this is my opinion and I am not looking for a debate on this. Thank you.

And I thought Harry Potter was boring! Looks like the boy has become a man, and a darn fine specimen of one too!

Unfortunately, if any shots of his (Pardon this pun, please) "magic wand" pop up before July 23rd, we can't show them on here. But hopefully, Equus will give us joy after he's 18. Course, that's an interesting play to begin with. This will really prove if Dan will be able to work beyond the boy wizard or not.

He was actually in a show in Londond where he performed without clothes. There was controversy if he could continue to be Harry after that.

Its also worth noting that regardless of his age upon release of nude images, if they were taken before July 23rd, they will be removed. (Just for anyone thinking it might be an easy way around the rules)

Yes. Personally, the idea of looking at someone who we have seen as a child creeps me out to the nth degree.

Whilst I am in agreement with all of the above points (and I didn't see the pictures that were originally linked), as far as I know the only promotional photoset pictures for "Equus" that have been released this week were waist-upward only - and they were printed in the national newspapers in the UK yesterday. If that's the case, then what is the problem, regardless of his age?

LPSG owner's preference.

Technically its because hes a minor in the USA,

hes not a minor for most of the rest of the world, in Australia, New Zealand, Japan , and most of Europe a minor is below the age of 16. so hes actually of perfectly legal age for these slightly less prudish countries

as a quick followup , the pictures screened on the main networked news show here in New zealand tonight, and have gone into all our national papers what surprised me was that he had the chest hair of a 25 year old , as well as stubble, and BTW hes wearing pants in all of the photos and they are part of the equus press release. while i respect the moderators decision Im greatly saddened that America now appears to be a country where a shirtless 17 year old is now considered obscene.

Most of the USA, too. At least in terms of legal age of sexual consent. Laws vary state by state. You still have to be 18 before you have the same legal status of an adult in this country though, unless you are considered an "emancipated minor."

Anyway, someone wake me up when they post naked pictures of Hermione..

It's not that we consider the pictures obscene, just that Rob doesn't want the site to be associated in any way with those under the age of 18, including posting pictures of them. His policy and he's choosing not to make exception, and he owns the site..

Let's not confuse age of consent, which is often lower, with the age at which models can be shown nude. For example, in Canada, currently the age of consent for most sex acts is 14 (except anal sex, which is 18), but models under 18 cannot be shown nude legally.
