Was the new song any good?

How about you give it a listen for yourself? ;)

But really, I think it’s one of his best and a completely new side to him.

I was just recently watching an interview from 2019 that he did, and it was clear that his energy was stifled. Like he wasn’t inhabiting himself at all. To see him go from a dark place like that to where he is now is just night and day. And I think that’ll look even more clear when the video for this song comes out.

I think the song is okay. Not terrible by any means but it's definitely more on the generic side. Instrumental is pretty good but some of the songwriting, production and stylistic choices could use some work in certain parts?

But overall it's just a cute pop little song and it's decently catchy so it fulfills it's purpose imho so mission accomplished. Wasn't expecting some complex or risky venture here

I can see your point about the writing. It’s definitely more on the surface-level side, which for a song like this isn’t the worst thing. But it would also be cool to hear more of *him* in his lyrics.
