He's got a nice physique, I just don't think it's right for Superman. He's more a leanly-muscled type, which would work great for many other roles in action/superhero movies.

Christopher Reeve famously put on a lot of muscle to play Superman because he didn't want to wear a padded suit
His body is not a problem at all. They will hire a trainer and give him an intense workout program and diet.

Agreed. Sadly, I've noticed that this behavior is pretty common in almost every thread. The only explanation is mass insecurity and self-hatred.
I've would love to see him as Superman now that Cavill seems to be out of the race. Maybe that could be his chance to get better and more role offers in series or movies.

he doesnt “seem to be out of the race”. he *is* out of the race. he was back and then he wasnt. james gunn happened. we were betrayed.
But Gunn wants a younger version of Superman. So maybe now it’s his time to get the role ??

It still bewilders me that he was in two - TWO!! - Ryan Murphy projects and barely even took off his shirt, let alone anything else. I don't know if Ryan is afraid of being cancelled for the"exploitation" of his male actors or something, but he's been turning down the sex and male nudity in a lot of his content lately and I don't like it.
