David corenswet ( affairs of state ) 2018

You DO know that making certain everything SOUNDS like it's on schedule and smooth is the JOB of the publicity machine? I don't care about the project either way, but I was keeping up with the rumors as I loved the comics as a kid, and always wondered whether they would ever translate into other media. They usually fail, of course, but this time who knows?

Copy and paste

And the reason is that the film is going to be canceled. David Corenswet will not play Superman onscreen, adding another fascinating chapter to the character’s tortured casting legacy, and Nicholas Hoult will not play Lex Luthor, another notch in that actor’s unusual streak of bad luck.

There are two reasons I think it’s going to be canceled. The first reason is that the two-pronged strikes pushed production back by months, it’s now almost 2024 and it still hasn’t started production.

April 2024 is approaching. In April, Comcast is going to announce its acquisition of Warner Bros. Studios and its integration into Universal Studios. Anything from WB that is not on camera within a matter of weeks will probably be canceled unless Universal really likes it.

Which brings me to my second reason. Donna Langley. Donna will preside over the combined studios, becoming the most important woman in Hollywood history since Lucille Ball (and eclipsing her.) Donna Langley is from Britain and has very specific tastes. Look at everything Universal has released in the past decade.

James Gunn’s hypercomedic style is so far from Donna Langley’s taste that he will not continue as the head of DC Studios (it will be a Brit; my money is on Matthew Vaughan). Donna will relaunch DC under filmmakers chosen with her sensibilities.

The problem for James Gunn is that he announced this was going to be an extended universe launching film. If this was a standalone Superman film it might survive, but he insisted on an extended universe. Donna won’t want the public to have any memory of James’s version of the DCEU once she begins building her own franchises. If a DCEU film begins shooting early next year, it would have to be released in 2026. Universal will be releasing it. They will not want to. They want a clean break.

So the film will be canceled within a couple of weeks. No reason will be given other than creative differences, but everyone will know why.
That sounds like a bunch of speculative bullshit. Why not link the source instead of copying and pasting it?

Also, what's this about Comcast acquiring Warner Bros. in April? Wasn't it just announced (by many reputable sources that I'm not afraid to link) that Warner Bros. and Paramount might be merging? You saying that deal's going through in the next four months in time for Universal to own both, and then Donna Langley's gonna be out there collecting movie studios like Infinity Stones?

DC has so much riding on James Gunn and Superman, you think they're just going to cancel the one hope they have of restoring integrity to their brand?

Some of the dumbest shit I've read today, but it's still early.

This is a very reliable source by the way

If that makes you sleep at night then go with it

Name of the source and proofs of its reliability, please?
Regardless even if the movie doesn't get scrapped, it will do bad
I hope to survive until at least a month after the movie comes out just to quote this and your previous posts

Meanwhile production weekly, just listed the start dates and location for shooting, as well as a brief synopsis so you may need to check your source again or just quit with the misinformation.

Yuh so we can witness another DC budget bomber

I just can't get behind mysterious "reliable" sources, especially when it comes to superhero movies, which everyone on Twitter happens to have some (often incorrect) scoop about.

What this sounds like is some salty Snyder bro attempting to denigrate Gunn and blame a woman.

You are so desperate for the movie to fail, I wonder why.
DC has only 1 movie next year, Joker 2. It will do good, if not better, thsn the first one. And by the time Supes comes out, the general audience will most likely forget about WBD's failiures. If not, it's Superman after all, one of the most famous characters. He will do good at box office. No one's expecting it to grab a billion, but I can see it earning at least 400 million worldwide, whih may be enough to zero down all costs

I don't want the movie to "fail", I'm just stating facts and being realistic, 400 Million is a huge flop

You sure?
Hope that superman movie flops like the other movies
Is this yours?

I'm just stating facts and being realistic, 400 Million is a huge flop
Yeah sure, especially when you don't know the budget.

Sorry I can't take you posts seriously after these

Hes not married that's a made up lie from a random site , the beach pictures theat was actually a shoot for something that's not his girlfriend

Just found out he is straight and married to a woman, my gaydar has been lying to me

Hahah, sounds like this guy's mad that David's not gay and is taking his heterosexuality personally. Since he won't fuck him, he wants him to fail. Brain rot at its finest.

2 planned paparazzi walks all made 0 noise

What does this got to do with what I said
uhm… you gurgled up a fantastical story from a “source” (without a verifiable link and its not even traceable online if you Google) announcing that the movie was canceled and never coming out, when the production trades (An actual industry wide reputable source) announced YESTERDAY (12/21/2023) the start date and location for production and a synopsis of the movie… Everything is clearly not alright upstairs with you.

What are you even talking about The merging deal will be finalized in April and filming starts March, thus resulting in the movie getting dropped
