It’s sad that being a survivor is how he initially ended up in the spotlight, but he’s done a lot more positive things with his life since then, so I think classifying him purely based on tragedy is a bit of a disservice. The more positive way would be that he’s a successful political activist and pundit. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he ended up running for office in a few years.
