Rumor has it he was supposed to be bisexual on degrassi. Apparently there was supposed to be a love triangle between Him, Argiris Karras, and Shannon Kook-Chun lol.

Might have saved Drew's character but Degrassi really shied away from bi male characters initially. Wasn't Peter also supposed to be bi and a love interest for Riley?

Honestly wish more former Degrassi actors would get major roles (preferably gay or with nudity). Younger me was crushing hard on some of these guys

Yep. It was suppose to be a Bi-Peter with Riley. But they then gave Riley, Zane which worked out. But then a love triangle between Riley, Zane, and Drew would’ve been epic. Hell if not Drew I wouldn’t have minded seeing Riley and Owen battle for Zane’s heart.

I’m disappointed hbo max isn’t going forward with the degrassi reboot

I'm happy that they aren't. That's simply bc I don't think they would of been able to pull it off. I feel it would of ended up some scantily clad Riverdale/Rebooted Gossip Girl mix that didn't try to attempt anything new outside of diversity casting. Which don't get me wrong I'd be down to watch for a an episode or two if the men were like they were in Degrassi... hahaha. But just hold out hope it still might happen bc I don't think the CEO is going to last...Just don't see reality tv pulling in streaming numbers like that

You’re right. And besides, they already ended up making Owen’s little brother gay anyway so I guess they needed one straight sibling and one gay one to balance it out.
