I have had and currently have friends that are gay or lesbian. Some were open some I didn’t know until later. Someone’s sexual preference has no bearing on my friendship with them.

If you have to set boundaries for a friendship… was it ever a friendship to begin with? Friendships happen with history or a mutual respect. Like with a man to man, gay man to straight man, woman to man or woman to woman. Friendship is not indicative to the sexual orientation, it’s indicative to mutual respect of another human being.

Welcome to LPSG, sadly this question has been asked so many times over the years, I am too lazy to google how many there were. I know a ton of straight men, who I would never befriend;, because they are pain in the ass ; or just A-Holes. A friendship is about mutual respect and trust. As long as a male gay person respects my boundaries, then we would be cool.
