They're doing a save the show campaign now, #SaveTheWinchesters
But I read that non-writing producers cannot pitch a show for a showrunner (Robbie Thompson) that's currently on strike as it'll be scabbing and will ban them from the union (WGA).
They're hoping HBOMAX will pick it up as there is no need to pitch the show since the stream service and the actual show is partially owned by WBD already.

Shows are being cancelled because of the strike.
Money is lost because filming has been halted and it costs money to even out the shows on hold, so of course they are going to be axing the shows that bring little audience cause it is cheaper that way. At least with hit shows people will watch again and money will be recouped of advertising.
Little shows, not so much.

I don't think the strike has anything to do with the current cancellations of The CW, they've been making scorched earth of the old The CW shows for months.

Yes to him being an amazing Nightwing, especially now The Winchesters being cancelled and I do get a gay vibe off him.

And his co star is dating someone else so them being a couple is not true.
The Winchesters ending might be a blessing if he gets a better gig.
