As for deserving hatred - he's a self-proclaimed "LGBT Advocate" who has done absolutely nothing for the LGBT community, and who supported a man who opposes gay marriage to become president. Hell, I think that fact alone suggests that he hates himself a little bit, much less anyone else hating him.
