Euphoria On Hbo

Have you seen the characters? Lol
yes but there are still mentally healthy teenagers in the show. the reason why the show focused on rue's group is bc of their mental disorders. (and not every main character is depressed, some has anger issues, some has self esteem issues). thats literally the point of the show. its trying to make a statement. and as a person who is suffering from anxiety and bipolar disorder, i think the show did a pretty good job on showing how mental disorders can lead to horrible actions (probably the reason behind the exaggerations).

I hate Nate and feel bad for him at the same time. The guy is really fucked up. Also, I thought things were going to get really weird during that scene with his dad, but I'm glad they didn't go there. You never know with this show.
Omg me too! I was expecting something sexual to happen idk

That's what I love ELITE on Netflix, it is a teen drama, has tough scenes but still it doesn't feel boring

You should know how to handle other people's opinion. Not everyone has to like a stupid show that cashes in on anxieties and depression.

Why you so big mad though?

We all deal with anxiety or some form of major or minor depression whether it be from family, friends, relationships etc. Its not wanting to address it is the problem because of how itll make others feel...

If you’re suffering from anxiety and bipolar disorder you should get into treatment, well hopefully
You are, I’m being treated for major depression and I don’t need to watch a show to make me
Feel better about myself, what was the statement that was to be made? I couldn’t find the message through all of the exaggeration. I found myself frustrated because the show began to lose itself in its troupes and
Was Jacob really into her or he's just a psycopath??
it seemed like it, because she’s trans, wait does Everyone know that she’s trans? I am confusion...

Keyword "I" some people like to see themselves represented on tv in whatever form that may be. I feel like we can all agree that at least this show doesn't glamify the character's issues like they did with 13 Reasons Why which was generally harmful to many people trying to find what they found in this show. That they aren't alone in their struggles of self care and acceptance.

anyway im sorry for being too sensitive. tbh the show never made me feel good too. the only good thing i get from it is the message that theres still hope from some people like family or friends that would never give up on me and would help me get better, but the message euphoria wants to really show wasnt completely meant for us who are mentally disordered, but for the parents, to the teachers, to everyone else who doesnt see mental disorders as a serious issue. i know ur arguments are valid bc the show is not perfect and has several flaws, and i cant force you to like it. i too never understand the exaggeration thats why i said "probably the reason behind". i really hope the writers are just going for the "worst case scenarios" to create a bigger impact on the audience,. (even tho its a bit ridiculous, i know ). but setting this aside, i really hope u get better soon.

I wasn’t responding or talking to you...

Its kind of cool the way the girls treat Jules and its known that shes trans. Nate says in the kitchen first ep “I know what you are” in her face. Then when she was telling Rue about meeting Tyler by the lake she says “its hard for me to meet someone ppl here know Im trans” and theres never really been a bullying her for being trans plot this season and I hope they don‘t do one next season. They do show the way men fetishize her though but its usually older men off grindr.

My response wasn’t complete, I started to respond and then I thought I deleted the first message and began to talk about something else lol

Also cool to know that Hunter the actress that plays Jules is trans in real life

I feel like people are using exaggerated wrong. It isn't that the show exaggerates these issues it's just that we are seeing all of these issues at once as the viewer. Each of the character's struggles are portrayed well. It's just that as a viewer unlike real life we are privy to everyone's struggles. In real life people try to hide their problems. Some well and some not so well. But we know everything because it is a story so it seems like it's too much because it is centralized and concentrated.
