Casting couch is a term that's been around Hollywood and show business since the early days. It basically means that you fuck to get a job. Either the producer, director, casting director, big time celebrity etc.
There's people here in LA where it's known that they use the casting couch to get a head and people who it's known encourage young, good looking actors to implement the casting couch with them.
I think pretty much every person in the business, myself included, has at least one casting couch story. I've never fucked to get a part however, I guess in my own right it may be said that I've "used" the casting couch as I have slept with, hung out naked with or even sent nude pics to my fair share of producers, directors, casting directors; however in my defense it was because we both wanted to do that and I was never promised/nor given a job because of that and I never pushed to get a job or an audition from that.

There are rumors (read:assumptions) that guys like Evan Peters, Darren Criss, Colton Haynes, Cody Fern, etc etc. have slept with Ryan Murphy for their roles on his shows. Maybe it’s true? Maybe not.

Search for Evan Peters and Bob Lamb. Based on what Bob Lamb is known for and the fact that Evan Peters was one of his models, the odds of something happening are pretty high. Let alone some of the directors he has worked with are known for using the casting couch and he fits with Singer’s type. No proof, but lotta smoke.
