I remember wanting to watch that way back when but I wasn't able to. However someone I know was able to check it out and he said nothing of note happened.

James Deen has a scene in "The Canyons" where he kisses another guy during a foursome and it is implied he is getting head from the guy. The scene was very poorly lit, which took quite a bit of enjoyment out of the scene.

For many European "actors" at that time, if they didn't have the porn industry to earn a paycheck they more than likely would have become penniless. But horny people like you & I & every other person on sites like this demanded new porn to jack off to even though many porn stars were having to deal with whether they should continue working & risk contracting AIDS, work underground & do bareback porn which was industry-banned in many places, or just quit altogether. That is why you often see actors & actresses, especially European, appearing robot-like AND wearing condoms. It was like that here in the U.S. too.
I have been HIV positive myself for over 30 years now. Trust me, I know what a "bummer" seeing safe sex in porn can be like. It was about jobs that sustained thousands of people during a time when having sex could actually kill you.
I seriously doubt that they were expecting Oscar nominations for their performances.
