In most cases you're right. There are some who do a good job of being committed to the scene. That said, it boils down to boundaries and what they're willing to do within those parameters.

I think most straight male performers usually feel the most comfortable with trans women as there is an element of comfort/familiarity that helps them to relax and get into it.

Some are comfortable performing with young, smooth twinks/fem guys. From there, things can get tricky depending on the performer in question.

He's purposely not advertising his scenes with trans women because he's a high-profile male performer with major studios on the straight side of the business where homophobia still exists and guys who do "crossover" work are ostracized by fellow performers, directors etc.

Frequently the matter of HIV is often weaponized against these guys as an argument for them NOT to do crossover work. It's still a contentious subject amongst many people (male and female) who work in straight porn. While all of them use this argument, some use it to disguise their homophobia.

Back in 2020/2021, straight male performer Steve Holmes said he was open to working with Aubrey Kate but when he discovered she was trans, he backtracked that invitation and then said some openly homophobic things about her.

Plus, for some strange reason, there is a vocal element of consumers who watch straight porn (namely straight men) who have objected to male performers doing "crossover" work with many outright vile comments posted on social media to those guys who have done it.

It would be ironic for someone who is swimming in the universe of pornography to be prejudiced against others because they fit into another 'standard' of life such as being trans, when people like them, whether straight or not but being a porn actor, is already a reason to be a victim of stigma for a large part of society due to the work they do, lol this guy or others who criticize/refuse these partnerships and are demanding of those who choose to have sex based on gender and sexuality is a joke, there is no morality whatsoever, since homophobia and transphobia have a religious source for gain a foothold and these guys will go to 'hell' (it doesn't exist but yet...) as much as those they hate but they are a minority, on onlyfans there are many former straight porn stars doing collabs with trans women

The world of porn is a fascinating set of contradictions. Female performers are openly encouraged and supported for exploring their bi side. For men, it's the exact opposite with many coming under heavy criticisms for doing so.

This is why Maximo Garcis is doing this via his OF page. Platforms like OF and JFF have given performers a separate avenue outside of studios and escorting to make money. With COVID, the industry has realized that performers can create their own work and have a greater amount of control whilst earning money as well. Plus, they are free to collab with who they want.

A number of former straight porn stars as you pointed out have done this because they are outside the studio system now and don't have the same restrictions in place. Those that still have high profile careers during mainstream porn and who are still in demand with studios are more cautious to stay in these companies' good graces.

Yes, but the question is, who nowadays needs a gay or straight porn studio to have a cozy financial life when you have Onlyfans and other similar platforms out there that give the same outcome with greater freedom?
