The trans scenes have high ratings (according to Brazzers) so there is an audience out there. I suspect the larger issue is getting male talent on the straight side of the business on board with filming scenes involving trans female performers. So far, the response (at least on camera) has been sparse at best.
Xander Corvus and Ramon Nomar have been the only mainstream straight male performers who have done trans scenes with little impact to their careers as they are still actively filming scenes. Meanwhile, more "alternative" performers like Small Hands and Owen Gray attract a different type of demographic to their work and as such are under less scrutiny.
Dante Colle, Pierce Paris and Jayden Marcos have extensive bi/gay work to their credits so it's no big deal for them to do trans work which they have done a number of times.
The bigotry still exist in the straight industry with guys doing "crossover" work. Attitudes are slowly changing, but's it going to take time. It won't happen overnight.
