About time these male models call this shit out for what it really is. I dunno. I mean, Klein's work isn't really my style, but there's nothing that shocking about these images. I've seen high-fashion female models in very sexualised shoots that are broadcast to a much larger audience than these photos will be. A lot of fashion and art is based on fetish and fantasy. Nobody seems to really care when it's just women.

i have to admit there is one model involved in the spread who i would really like to see more of (henry watkins), but from an objective point of you, especially with the way the casting photos were published (censored frontals), i can't help but think the entire shoot is 99% for klein's own enjoyment. something about taking frontal pictures of models during a casting does not sit well - especially when i think there may have been some models who didn't get hired, so essentially have nudes they weren't compensated for held on to by the creative team. conflicting feelings!

I don't know... part of the allure is the wrong doing. Hence I actually find the casting photos way hotter than the actual shoot, but maybe that's just me?

honestly, maybe it's just because i am getting older but henry is the only one in the shoot that appeals - everyone else is a bit too boyish!

and yeah, i definitely revisited his casting photo too because imagining henry show up at my door and get naked for some candid keepsakes is hardly a unappealing scenario... but overall i have to concede that me too, unequal power dynamics, and exploitative behaviours shouldn't be given a free pass when it interferes with me getting off. basically, henry, just go set up a good quality OF with tasteful nudes and get the dollar you deserve!
