They are completely staged, right down to people submitting scripts and the actors still being around after the videos. Not to mention, some of the videos have the characters 'die' in them.
-Chloroform doesn't last that long. It usually knocks someone out for 1-2 minutes. Plus, it is really dangerous to use and can dampen someone's health. So real usage is a no-go.
-There exist fake needles that 'poke' the skin but don't pierce it. In the videos, he doesn't look for a vein to pierce, he just injects like in the movies. That's because the needles are fake, and injecting actors in actual videos can be really dangerous.

Everything is staged. The needle simply retracts into itself. There is no way I would ever knock someone out for real.

Nothing official yet just speculation. Looks aren't everything. Depression is a bitch and doesn't care about that . Besides who knows what demons he was facing.
I can confirm he did take his own life.
