It’s a setting toggle that was implemented in May 2023 on OF. The setting basically makes it where creators can protect their videos from May 2023 on. Making all the videos streams. Which prevents fans from downloading the creators videos. But along with that protection it completely fucks some fan’s experiences. Some experience terrible video quality, ridiculously slow play back speeds, & my biggest issue the prevention of air play/ video casting. Which prevents me from mirroring my screen or in other words watching the video on my smart tv. Fans also have issue with it because the setting apples these same issues to PPV videos which are especially bough & paid for by the fans. And they feel they should be able to watch the videos without these limitations & be able to download the PPV they paid for.
But leave it to onlyfans to implement a setting that only benefits creators & screws the supporters of the site. This setting makes creators accounts completely unusual & enjoyable for me. And many other users. I’m shocked not more people know about it. Probably because they are subscribed to creators that have the feature turned off. Either that or they don’t download videos, cast the videos to their TV’s, or simply aren’t just experiencing lower video quality. If you wanted a list of creators that have & don’t have the setting I do have a thread we’ve been building up to expose the creators & protect those who’d rather not waste money on the accounts that use it.
