I thought he was an excellent musician, and way ahead of his time. However, I didn't find him attractive at all. Just not my type...
I'm a musician. This post describes me. I came very late to a full appreciation of just what Queen entailed. Freddie was a bona fide genius. He was the 20th century's answer to Mozart. His voice, piano, composition, all stellar. May is a completely unique guitarist. His expression is more like a fine violin, with the subtle vibrato. No one will ever sound like him. John Deacon, the bass player, built his amp, and he and his father built the guitar from wood from an old mantle. Deacon, May, and Mercury were each memorable songwriters. A truly underappreciated, gifted band.
A friend of a friend slept with him and said it was a "dick o' death"Seen him in alot of tights and leotards think he had a big package for a big rock star?
His hairy chest was so sexy. It was a thrill when he used to strip down on stage.. Like their concert in Montreal . I'm sure there would be you tubes from it. He kept coming back onstage with fewer clothes on!A friend of a friend slept with him and said it was a "dick o' death"
I don't think people realize how 'heavy' Queen were in their first couple of albums.
Especially Queen II, which is as heavy as they come.
But people always remember the hits, and those can be quite unrepresentative of what the music is really about.
Yeah, dig it, but that's what set him apart from everybody else and got him his notoriety.Freddy may have been gay, but he was hot. Serious straight girl eye candy. Except for the pornstar 'stache. No one who isn't Tom Selleck looks good in those.

He really should be here by now considering all the advances that have been made in HIV treatment.
