An article came out a few days ago about behind the scenes issues with Richard's show Citadel that have now led to heavy reshoots in Atlanta around the time of Richard's birthday and back in London over the summer (this is all in addition to nearly a year of initial filming last year that had wrapped up last December). If I had to wager a guess I'm assuming it's more location filming. Honestly this show sounds like a mess and it explains why Richard hasn't been cast in any new projects this year if he's stuck doing months of reshoots on this thing; supposedly it has the 2nd highest budget of a single TV season ever after The Lord of the Rings (coincidentally also an Amazon Prime project) so hopefully they're at least compensating him well as one of the leads.

Citadel sounds like a complete debacle. I had no idea it existed but now it sounds like a huge millstone for Amazon.

But it's also a film costume, too. So it may have some padding, possibly (and it's not unusual to use padding in film/tv/stage costumes). It's not like he's literally playing football.
