Idk why u have to white knight for him when he CLEARLY is saying something wrong , does some people like that sort of thing ? Yes but that doesn’t mean it’s still rotted in self hate and that’s something is icky about it , no one is trying to “cancel” him but it wouldn’t kill us “or him for that matter” if we criticized a language that is harmful to us.

Words don’t exist in a vacuum , they can have different emotional meaning to different people but slurs are still slurs even it some are okay with it. If u wanna have them said to u in private that a different story but if he’s gonna post it to an audience whether it’s behind a paywall or not and make money of it then he more than deserve criticism. And i agree we should lead with our attention and stop supporting when complaining but also not shut out completely from the first mistake. Anyway my point to everyone is be careful making people comfortable saying slurs.

Race in general is a societal construct that is in no way based on science and certainly doesn’t meet the scientific definition of what is a considered a different breed or species. We’re all homosapiens with slightly different levels of melanin.

So if you’re going to subscribe to the notion of “race” then you have to acknowledge all the various subgroups of which Arab is definitely one.
