Oh that's really sad to hear. They really should have shown it at a more family time earlier in the evening - it was just on way too late. Plus two episodes per week is just too much.

As for the show itself - it's a very respectable version of the UK show but with its own French twists. However theres's a few things that could have been corrected with a second season if they had the chance:
- editing is a bit loose and there's room to cut 10 mins from each episode, especially as they're only doing 4 games plus the eliminator
- Gladiator walk-ons are too long
- Post game interviews are too long
- two eps per week is too much
- ads appear in the weirdest places at times
- there's too much English language music - three AC/DC songs at least - would be better with more French language music
- a lack of music behind each game tends remove some of the excitement, with the audio only Denis Brogniart and the crowd - and because its a small crowd who are new to the show, there isn't enough crowd noise to convey a sense of excitement. Pop some music behind the games and things are instantly more exciting.

However - holy crap are the men hot!!!
