Greyson chance?

it’s personal taste. if you think his songs are bad that’s your opinion. my opinion is that his songs are good.

what don't you get about technically speaking?
His vocals are replaceable by almost every kid on youtube these days.

That has absolutely nothing to do with taste but with professional manner of musical industry standards. It has no own character, it is just another whole sounding voice that you can find in almost every choir or in one out of 20 hobby bands.

I am not saying that it's a bad voice. His voice is just average for a singer and can be replaced any time. Him trying to follow the mainstream makes him even more replaceable. But I guess you are way too much into him to even look at this matter from a neutral point of view and instantly feel attacked for no reason.

In music there is not only the personal taste but the technical aspect that professionals choose their clients by to publish and promote. And in that view point he is plain average for a musician.

all of what you said of the above is an opinion. that’s your opinion of him. if his voice was ‘average’ or ‘plain’ as you said, he wouldn’t have the career he has build for himself up to now. yes, he doesn’t have the best male voice i have ever heard but that does not make it ‘average’ or ‘bad’. if you think so, that’s totally acceptable. just don’t tell me that it’s a fact because you have no evidence to support such a claim. also, most artists of today that release pop songs are following the mainstream. that’s what pop is all about. there’s a reason it’s called ‘popular music’.

You don't get it man. Dream on.

Youre both correct, kinda. His music actually isnt pop-y enough by mainstream standards today hence his music is “not good” for general public. He relies too much on his “honest lyricism” and fails on the production side. I guess his writers and producers (or lack thereof) are to blame. Most of pop today relies on simpler, repetitive chorus and formulaic melodies.

Vocally hes not “technically” good but I cant name any charting male pop vocalist today who is (not even your khalids, sam smiths, weeknds, zayns.) What they have are signature tones - a must in pop music. Greyson has it but needs to be polished. And he strains a lot in his upper register so he needs a good coach and should stop smoking.

Hes still more talented than troye as ive said in my previous post, because he has wider range and better vocal dynamics. Troye has 3 notes to live with so he sounds the same in everything.

Unlike troye however, i believe hes not under any major labels now so push is gonna be even tougher. The music industry is a marketing business more than it is talent-based and without heavy promotions you will not succeed.

Is he into twinks? I wonder whats his type. He mentioned about the brazilian guy who broke his heart before then in this new interview he mentions someone (he traveled with?met?) in israel - inspiration of his carrier single

New promo interview/performance

I was supposed to meet him at VIP for his show in NYC tonight but I can’t get outta work. I’m crushed but I at least will see him live in Philly in a few weeks (no meet & greets available there tho). I’ve been loving how happy he looks on this press tour and the new songs have sounded amazing F524F740-F7DA-4970-A010-3D94196BC3B8.jpeg
