Griffin gluck

Lucas - as played by Felix Mallard- was/is real. He was a good friend of the Lockes' father when he was killed. As a teen, he was possessed by a piece of Whispering Iron and was taken over by a demon. The demon's base form was Lucas' original body (again as played by Mallard). He used the Idenity Key to transform into a woman - played by Laysla De Oliveira - and was killed. This form is generally referred to as "Dodge" in the show, including in the credits.

Later, the Echo Key is used to bring her back to life. Since she was in the Dodge(/De Oliveira) from when she died, her echo was also in the Dodge(/De Oliveira) form when she came back. Without access to the Identity Key, she was stuck in the Dodge(/De Oliveira) - and trapped in the wellhouse - for a long time.

When she escapes the wellhouse and regains the identity key, she creates the "Gabe" face (as played by Griffin Gluck) to manipulate Kinsey. She also tries to use the Dodge(/De Oliveira) from to try and manipulate Tyler. She doesn't spend much time in the original Felix(/Mallard) form. Out-of-universe, this is largely because Malliard wasn't available for much filming but in-universe, there are pictures of Lucas(/Malliard) around and people who knew him (most notably Ellie) so he could be caught if using that form especially in the Lockes' orbit.

So the Dodge(/De Oliveira) and Gabe(/Gluck) forms were created by the key, while the Lucas(/Malliard) form was "real" and couldn't be duplicated by the key, despite the fact that we spend much more time with Gluck then any of the others and we also spend more time with De Oliveira then Mallard.
And Felix is really fucking hot

Thanks I get it now. I didn't read the books so I don't know much about the rules.

I never saw the locke and key show. I wonder if it's any good?

Kind of a difficult question. It’ a pretty fun show based on front source material, but I wouldn’t consider it must see tv. If you’re looking for som light viewing, it’s definitely worth a shot

Easy fun watch, it probably won’t rock your world but it’s enjoyable.
It was entertaining for sure but until we see season 3, then we won't know if it ends stupid. Btw I suspect that there won't be a season 4

it's a fun show with an interesting mystery. it's also marked as pg13, so it's like kid's horror in terms of spookiness

maybe i'm misremembering but i think s3 is supposed to be the last one

Connor Jessup said they filmed season two and three back to back, so I think it is the final season.
You could be right, but Netflix may have just decided to film back to back while they had the locations booked, and made sure their covid free bubble was all together. I'm not sure if this makes sense, I'm high, and feeling some type away about the show possibility ending soon.

Since she was in the Dodge(/De Oliveira) from when she died,
Was she? I could've sworn the demon was in the Lucas form when it died.. I think I also remember it being Lucas who answered when Ellie first used the Echo key before dad Locke died

I guess I could be remembeirng that part wrong!! But I dunno how she would have ended up being Dodge when Bode found her. Was the Idenity Key in the wellhouse?

If I remember correctly the well house key was there but bodi had a few keys before he went in the well house and she took them

Yes, that is how she got out of the wellhouse, by tricking Dodge into letting her out with the Wellhouse Key. But what I am talking about is before she got out, when she was talking Bode into it. She was definitely Dodge then.
