#Grindr be coming straight?

The company defines itself as an app for "gay, bi, trans and queer people, and men who have sex with men".

That seems to be very open ended on who may use the app.

I'm ambivalent on my views of that app. It's how I met my boyfriend. We're in love and we live together. My best Grindr chats were with him. However, it's full of a lot of terrible people. The app is extremely in your face not about what you like, but what they think you are supposed to like. I went on there looking for a man of similar background, which through trial and error is what I landed. Not however before being acosted by every freak in the book. Case and point, the app has become too diverse at the expense of customers trying to find their perfect match. True love is not a civil rights case.

The fkn company re defined the app years ago, making it an app for "everybody". It's very annoying, but we can't do anything. There are other gay apps out there anyways...

Your opinion is valid, I simply have no opinion of my own. I'm a woman and have never used the app, though I know a few (male) friends who have.

Ugh gross. I ran across that several times; instant block. I had my fun with hookups and casual sex, but I needed love. Grindr did play a role in that for me, and I was lucky. Hehe admittedly my boyfriend and I were both super horny when we first met, and we couldn't keep our hands off each other. Our early stages were like frequent, highly friendly hookups. I loved it. Then a relationship blossomed out of extreme physical attraction and romantic courtship. It would have been a little easier to find him though had the app been more regulated. But some users have this toxic idea that everything is for everyone; exclusivity of any kind is a joke to them.
