Younger skin is always more reddish, not so thick or plagued with yellow-inducing micoses. I think feet vary a lot from individual to individual. I always thought curved feet were weird until I discovered mine are more flat than the average. We always go based on what we are familiar with. Anyways, that's my explanation.
