It’s annoying because I know they have shown butt before. They show the bachelor Ben and Courtney skinny-dipping. And I think they have showed female butt as well.

I agree that the censoring was way OTT. American TV has very weird standards about on-screen nudity. Most of they time they do show it (and this is mostly reserved for streaming platforms anyway) it's played out during sex scenes but in this case the nudity was non-sexual... and the guys weren't even fully naked to begin with! I found it very offensive that they still blocked their front views even with the jockstraps on - I mean, do they do that when someone wears underwear? I don't think so.
Also, I want to know your opinion on this particular date. The internet has gone up in arms about the reverse sexual harassment regarding bachelorette Claire's handling of the session, with many people (especially on Reddit) calling her out as a creep and taking advantage of younger men's looks... despite many men doing the same thing to women many years before that! Personally, I don't see the fuss over this - if a man can degrade a woman for her good looks why can't the women have the fun for once? At the same time, if some of the guys weren't comfortable with being exposed this way by a female, then maybe they will think twice about doing it the same way vice versa. Funny that none of the outrage is in relation to the pathetic censoring by a so-called family friendly channel...
