He doesn't seem like a douche at all. Actually he's extremely well informed and intelligent. He's really good looking and seems overall like a fun dude. The only caveat about him for me would be his fashion sense. He's very flashy imo. Yea he's seemingly "social media fame" hungry but there's nothing wrong with having ambition. Honestly we need more if the social media celebs to be more like him and less like Kim.
You can be well-informed and intelligent and still be a douche lol. You can be someone who is generally nice to people but still be self-absorbed. Self-centeredness does not exist in a vacuum, and again, unless you've seen the type over and over and spent time with them and see the nuances of their "performance", it's hard to really judge. One minor example I'll give: In his instagram posts dedicated to the Women's March or Elizabeth Warren ("nevertheless, she persisted") or the travel ban protests, he only posted pictures of himself to accompany those captions. I get social media fame, we all do, but he wasn't even taking part in the protests, he wasn't even posting a picture from the protests, and not even some static image with a quote or something. No, he posted pictures of himself looking handsome and model-y. By no means am I doubting his intellect or his work, but it's clear that he is the most important factor in the things he does, and not the socially-conscious information he's relaying.

I'm unsure what the argument is here. That because he realizes that he's goodlooking and likes attention, this some entirely negates the message he relays? Sure. Attention whoring is widespread among people in my and his age group, i.e. "Millennials," the only difference is that he has a much large platforms and actually adds something positive via his social/political awareness.
I once sat at a table next to him at a restaurant and he and his friends were wasted and rayon the waitresses on 1-10 and shamelessly harassing and flirting with the waitress and he kept bragging to his buddies about fingering some slut on the dance floor at Warwick....he doesn't know anything, there are smart people at TYT thatdo the research and write him talking points so let's not mistake him for anything more than what he is...a delicious piece of meat to ogle (and if he treats girls that way, I certainly have no shame in just liking his body and look.
Also - his fashion is the worst!! Ugh could he be trying any harder to dress like a fashion forward hipster who's not a hipster but is still not mainstream but wears what every other club going indoor meat head in LA wears?

Really, though? This is that same nonsense old false equivalency of "both sides do it!" The disinformation of entities like Fox News, who lie and claim to be balanced, is in no way equivalent to the Young Turks, who are completely upfront about their political leaning.

I find it a little hard to reconcile his legit leftist politics with his sort of hipster douche affect. Yes, that's only a skin deep analysis, but it just seems kind of discordant. Regardless, he's very hot and I look forward to seeing more of him 
Since when does Fox News hide their political stance? The issue with journalism is that things are only reported if it suits your agenda so news is never going to be unbiased especially on platforms like Fox News and the Young Turks. What I said wasn't false equivalency, check your own bias.
Journalism is dead. Every station has their bias. Fox on the right. CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS and PBS on the left. MSNBC even advertises that it is progressive.
