Obviously it's more complicated but my point was that for example, social security nets in those places would make some Americans lose their mind. "Simplified" example is many Americans complaining about how universal health care is "impossible" and other shit like that when tons of developed countries have it.

On an unrelated note, the right wing parties in Canada seem to be doing poorly due to the new leadership lol so that's good news for everyone here I guess
My point isn't disagreeing with you, but just to provide some context against the simplistic worldview that everything is alright (in the progressive mind) everywhere else. And you're right, part of the reason the left is on the retreat worldwide is that the most important fights have already been won (universal healthcare, gay marriage etc.), so few of the center-right parties are the threat to basic human dignity the way the GOP is. Regardless, we can agree that seemingly the pendulum seems to have swung against the extreme right (in Israel, France, and of course the US) is great news.

Anyways, this isn't really the forum for politics so forgive me for not going to respond further, with apologies to the other thread watchers.

when you literally went as far as to call all Republicans racist.
Okay, so, this is the reason I love public discourse! First of all, you responded to my post as if I had replied to you specifically or tagged you. My statement was purely general in nature, a reread would have proven that (I even used the words 'some people'). Take a look at my post history, or don't, I'm annoying; you will see that I have zero qualms calling out and tagging people specifically. Secondly, I am aware of Google and its uses, but I am also well aware of his politics. Humor me for just a moment: show me where I said I was on board with all of his statements. Show me where, what I said, had anything to do with supporting everything he does. The point being, don't generalize my statements by forcing your own assumptions on four sentences typed up in here. Lastly, I quoted this specific piece of yours just to bring up the definition of the word 'literally'.
lit·er·al·ly
/ˈlidərəlē,ˈlitrəlē/
adverb
adverb: literally
  1. in a literal manner or sense; exactly.
"the driver took it literally when asked to go straight across the traffic circle"

Now, where in my post did I say that literally all republicans are racist? I guess I can't read because I also can't see the word republican, or racist. I don't want to negate your own personal experience and I am sorry that YOU took the words in my post and added a whole bunch of other words and nuance but your attempt at schooling me just isn't it. I am sorry if you were having a bad day and mine was the post that caused whatever that was but I hope today is a better day. Stay well, Rosewood. DM's will be open if you feel the need to clarify or just want to talk it out.

I just watched a recorded livestream with Hasan and couldn’t stop thinking about wanting to get down on my knees in front of him the entire time.
I want to eat his hairy hole then have him use me

He didn’t “justify” it. He said giving America pushing themselves into the Middle East, they couldn’t be surprised about what happened with 9/11. Yeah, he worded it into an awfully clipped vid. I never heard him call a black conservative a racial slur. Did he refer to one as a c00n? In fact, I remember him calling Candice Owens very pretty despite her politics. Also, neo-pronouns were created by neurodivergent/autistic trans people, they were NOT invented to mock trans people, that’s just misinformation

And I oop.

First of all I’m mixed (mostly black, white and Asian,) Secondly I may lean to the right but I’m not a full right wing republican. Third I’ve seen many people on the left who think his politics are insane and think he’s a very ignorant individual. He literally tried to justify 9/11, he has on multiple occasions down played and called black conservatives racial slurs, said the men’s mental health crisis is just a simple class issue and has said/done many many more insane things. Do y’all not realize he’s defended the use of “neo-pronouns”. A quick google search will show you that they were made to mock trans people. Lastly you’re trying to attack people on the right for not being open to different political opinions when you literally went as far as to call all Republicans racist.
So why do you align closer to a party that openly rejects LGBTQ rights, and does what it can to disenfranchise people of color? I mean, I know the left isn't all roses, but if you got some ideals that strong, I think you should be fighting in the opposite direction to make your party more suitable for yourself.

Nobody on the left think his politics are "insane." Liberals are not leftists
