I hope good trouble returns in general. Aren’t there episodes being withheld because of the SAGAFTRA protests?
Filmed episodes are not being withheld but no new episodes are being filmed. Not sure what the show's filming schedule is, but I know they typically film well in advance. The back half of season five was likely filmed before the strike began, although certain post-production work (like ADR) may be needed and not able to be completed.

The strike is more likely to effect the existence or timing of a theoretical sixth season.

We dont know yet but probably not, they were not given warning about the finale. The show was cancelled months after filming.
According to deadline "We hear Good Trouble will be given the opportunity to film some additional scenes for a supersized series finale episode to properly wrap up the series.".

I think the show was given enough time to film a proper ending

That was in the cancellation announcement but there's been no indication that they actually filmed anything. Getting the cast/crew together on short notice may be impossible. They almost certainly won't have the chance to get outside actors who weren't in the original finale.

What kind of indication are you expecting to see or have seen? That's all background stuff on a show with less than 100k viewers. It's not a big production show and two full months to film additional scenes is plenty of time. A cast and crew that was standing by to find out if they can start filming Season 6 isn't going to turn down money from the studio to do additional scenes. Likely even contractually obligated to an extent.

Some indication that the actors or crew were on set, of course. Seems pretty obvious to me.

Cast and crew might have gone to other projects upon learning about the cancelation. They usually hear about it way before it hits the public. If the network had no interest in continuing the show, unless there's a huge public outcry from fans, they're not gonna waste money bringing back cast and crew to film an extended finale, they simply release what's been done and call it a day

You aren't wrong as that is often the situation. But in this case the statement says "Good Trouble will be given the opportunity to film some additional scenes for a supersized series finale episode to properly wrap up the series.". No public outcry required. That is the studio already waving around money to a production which obviously still held hope for a 6th season.

My point being It's Far more likely than not that the cast and crew will want to return for those scenes. Especially all the strikes.

Jonnor reunion in Season 3 of Good Trouble.
that was a sweet episode, Connor (Gavin) looking really heavy in that scene, glad they were able to bring some closure in their relationship.

Damn I would have given anything to see a threesome between Hayden Gavin and Spencer in that episode lol
