well there's also a big difference between vaping and drinking. one is associated with smoking, so even if you're over 18, people will come for you if you do it.

It's just the government really. It's not even a federal law. If I recall correctly the Federal Government essentially threatens to withhold federal funding if states lowered the drinking age below 21.

I can’t believe this has been an ongoing convo for days. Who cares if a twenty year old is drinking? No well adjusted person is shocked to see someone 18+ (male or female) have a drink, which is why y’all don’t see anyone else talking about it.
There is extensive research that support the theory that alcohol effects development of essential parts of your brain, which finishes developing around 21 at average. Not to mention we know adults make stupid enough decisions drink alcohol there's no need to allow teens to drink as well.
P.s. I'm not against teen drinking completely, my parents allowed me to drink because I was responsible and did it very little, but it definitely shouldn't be unregulated like it is in the countries outside the U.S.
