In addition to being an actor, Valentino was also an author and published at least two books, a book of poetry and a exercise/self help book. These are photos from that one. Nearly every major person in Hollywood said nice things about him, including Charlie Chaplin. Mary Pickford said Douglas Fairbanks was jealous of him, and Gloria Swanson (actress of Sunset Boulevard) said they were regular friends. Everyone loved his accent, and if he had lived longer, would have been a successful actor in talking pictures. It's sad he passed so tragically young, especially seeing him in his prime here.
