Hook was built by AEW themselves as the next best superstar, with one of the debut matches of the history of modern wrestling with Rocky Maivia. (I'm actually not kidding, you do have AEW fans who said that lmao), until to ending up eating Doritos with an unfunny and corny clown. But it's supposed to be a "sport-centered" wrestling company. Yeah, my ass !!!!

How can you make people get interested in AEW if everytime someone get pushed, he ends up in a billionth faction, being a goof in an RAW-like corny angle or just wrestling on Dark and Elevation after their initial big break ??? They wonder why AEW viewership isn't as great as it was , especially with stars like CM Punk, Danileson and now Jeff (fucking) Hardy and Regal !!!

No wonder why even Cody which was one of the EVP's and the spokeperson for AEW during the pandemic ran away back to the big leagues.

Soory for the rant, because I really like AEW initially, I didn't a show since I've first watched it but now, I didn't watch a show ever since CM Punk joined. It seems I don't miss anything.
I only watch MJF's storyline, Ricky Starks matches and promos, Eddie Kingston's promos, the highlights on YouTube in a nutshell.

I mean he literally shrugged off a "curse", it's hardly an angle. If they follow it up then yeah it likely will be but I think it was just a goofy moment.

I doubt AEW are about to throw two very over wrestlers (one who has yet to have an AEW match) together as either of them losing would benefit either.

Anyways, anyone else hoping Hook has a match on Dynamite?

Oh good another one who is going to educate me on wrestling after working in the business for 30 years. There was the incident after the match and comedy promos followed regarding it you probably missed because they're giving Hook little to no TV time these past couple months. We're in agreement that I hope they do something with him soon. But the only thing they've done since the dull QT program is have Hook in comedy segments. 2 with a YouTube vampire. And one with a riveting promo where a reporter attempted to eat one of his potato chips. I'm on the edge of my seat here.

Could be a good one. Dante's another one they can't seem to figure out what they want to do with. Face. Heel. Face again. All within a month. Tag team reunites for a big feel good moment. Then back to solo the weeks after. I'd prefer Hook in a David/Goliath type of thing... but a one off with Dante could be good. Would've been good timing when they had Dante break off from Taz, but they really don't even seem to have hook as part of Team Taz anymore anyway. They say it verbally, but that's about it.

Vince at least has the excuse that he's old and senile. I don't see them going that route with Hook though. They seem pretty intent on keeping him as a ground and pound instead of a gymnast.

Dante was never a heel. He tricked Team Taz into believing he wanted to be with them, but it was a ploy all along.

That should be a hard angle to grasp, you know, for someone with 30 years experience in the business

Yeah I haven't seen everything you mentioned because I'm in the UK (Dynamite on Fridays and Rampage on Tuesdays) and tend to catch up at weekends when I have some free time. Apologies for not being completely "on it".

Hardly educating you, just offering my thoughts on it. Guess as a fan you're not really allowed to do that and should just be told what to like. For someone complaining about "dweebs arguing", you're certainly chatting a lot and throwing insults around at people from your ivory tower there.

They didn't announce his opponent, so it won't be Nese (yet). Definitely not going to be Danhausen.
