Many times on here and elsewhere, gay men are called misogynists, bigots, and close minded for not being attracted to women. Not just from straight men but from gay and bi men too.

Gay and bi men seem to think it’s hateful and wrong for gay men to not want to have sex with women.

There's not being attracted to women, and then there's:

- Eeeeewww vagina! Yuck!
- Eeewwww oral sex on a woman! *gag noises*.
- I would NEVER do that and neither should you!
- OMG he used to date women! Gross!
- He had sex with a WOMAN!?!?! Dead to me. Cancelled forever! Gay-Traitor!

There's a fine line between preference and misogyny.

I have never heard this before in my life, neither gay men being called sexist for not being into women, nor gay men being actively disgusted by women. I won't say it doesn't happen, but it's not something I've experienced. I will say, it's completely ridiculous either way.

The closest thing I ever heard was my stepdad (long story short, my dad was gay and married to a man) saying that he'd consider it a betrayal if my dad had women on the side, while they had an open relationship when it came to men.

On the other hand, the resentment so many gay men seem to have toward other gay men who are capable of being attracted to trans men is equally ridiculous in my opinion.

Yeah, I dont get why people need to yuck someone else's yum. Especially when there's no harm involved.

It's this part that I really do think is about 95% of this attitude to be honest. Don't wanna fuck a trans man? Fine, don't. Stop calling those of us who are open to trans men bisexual, and respect that they are men even if you don't want to fuck them.

I would say it's more of a loud chronically online minority though.

It's rather hopeless to think what's going on in the bigger society isn't going to slip in and get embraced in some way in the smaller communities.
