I am similar. I can push it down a bit if I am wearing briefs. But after a while of moving about or sitting down and back up again it usually ends up pointing straight out. Part of a reason why I wear boxer shorts most of the time as they hide the "sticking out" bulge better. Otherwise with briefs it looks like a mini boner.
