How to save money on silicone lubricant ... and, no, the answer is not to make it yourself lol
Trigg Labs makes 'Wet Platinum' silicone lubricant, and it's quite well-known and expensive. What most people don't know, is that they market another silicone lubricant called 'Turn On'. These two products are exactly the same. In fact, the labels for both, list the exact same 4 ingredients. The only difference, besides the contrasting black bottle and white bottle, is the price. Check it out for yourself; Amazon sells both, i believe.
This business practice is referred to as 'price discrimination', and I'll let you google that.
I do not work with or for any of the above mentioned. I am a simple consumer who figured this info out some time ago. I simply want to share this info with the community because we could all use a little extra cash in our pockets.
One quick side note, i have seen the price for the Turn on label dramatically fluctuate over the years, so your mileage may vary. Today, 7/24/24, the 12oz is about $12. 6 months ago it was over $30. To compare, today, the Wet platinum 16oz is about $46.
