Hunter will be back, he’s literally the main monster. He’s also been the only other break out star. They’d be foolish to drop him. I’d presume there won’t be much romantic angle next season anyway, given he’s a murderous creature half the time.

I wouldn't say egocentric. The romance aspect has been literally the most criticized aspect of the show, it makes sense they'd want to do away with it. And nowhere did she say she wants Hunter off the table, she just wants the romance off the table. Can't say I blame her.
What's the point of keeping hunter around if he's not the love interest anyone? They have figured out who's the monster. Mystery was solved already and hunter is just a barista at coffee shop.
By the way, it was the most 'criticized' romance edits on Tiktok made the show go viral, admit it that most casual audience love this dark lovers-enemies-lovers arc.

I think Hunter will end up at Nevermore. They have a ban on Hyde’s but I think that’ll be some of the storyline for S2. His rehabilitation, what he’s like now he has no master. I suspect they may not bring back the other love interest next season given the accusations against him off camera. So Jenna will probably get her wish of minimal romantic interest..
Did he not slaughter a bunch of people and escape custody? And isn't he too old to be going to that school anyways?
Nothing about his character when he showed his true colors leads me to believe he's interested in rehabilitation. Mans a villain, he enjoys un-aliving people lol
Okay, his character is deliberately left in an ambiguous place because it gives the writers wiggle room to use or not use him as they see fit. He could come back as a full time cast member, a minor supporting role, or not at all. We can’t know for sure until casting for S2 is announced
