Hello, I will start the topic quickly. I am a man who has been practicing homosexual sex since I was young and now I am 24 years old. 4 months ago I was diagnosed with advanced syphilis and received treatment, but the doctor told me that I had been treated, but if I did a blood test it would show that I was infected because this disease does not completely go away forever. I want you to tell me because I usually have sex without a condom or any precautions, and this is out of ignorance on my part. Has anyone ever had syphilis or knows someone who has? I am very afraid. Even after receiving treatment, I have not had sex until now. Please guide me.

You might want to find another doctor to help you or find a clinic that deals regularly with sexually transmitted infections. Syphilis is commonly treated with antibiotics and will clear up. Though, untreated, I believe it can cause permanent damage to some organs. There are other STIs that may lie dormant, like herpes and HPV, that will clear up but are not curable. They may return and therefore be transmittable to your partner.

My basic advice is to speak with a knowledgeable professional! While guys on here (like me) may offer nuggets of wisdom, most of us are not experts.

And don't be afraid to use condoms. They may not be the most fun thing to deal with, but they can prevent you from getting or passing on infections.

Also, masturbation can be lots of fun, kissing, frot, body contact without penetration, etc.

Good luck!

Look, it's like this........
If you have had the correct treatment for syphilis you no longer have it. You have been "cured" of the infection. So don't panic!
It is however true, that on certain common blood tests that are done for checking whether people have active syphilis or have had syphilis, it will always be visible, that you have had syphilis in the past.
This does not mean that you still have active syphilis.
Personally, I think if you are having sex with partners who you don't really know, it is safer to use condoms.
Yes, there is now Doxypep (taking 200mg Doxycycline after unprotected sex) which is showing promise as a way of avoiding getting the commoner STIs, but it is still probably less "safe" than using barrier protection.

If you do not finish the course of treatment, it can show up later because it was not completely cured. Do exactly what the Dr says and take the prescribed medication as directed. There are options available for safer sex, but I don't know what is available where you live due to religious beliefs and such.

If you've had partners recently when you suspect you were all ready infected, you have to let them know.

anyway the last guy I dated tested positive for syphilis and then told me right away and even drove me to the clinic so I could get a protective shot. I have nothing but respect for how he handled the situation. Be like him.

syphilis in this day and age is both treatable and preventable, it shouldn't be a stigma that frightens you. Handle it dispassionately. STIs happen and they are nothing to be ashamed of. People have sex, sex is healthy, condoms are less common, and this happens, and we have many nonjudgmental public health services on our side taking care of us.

EDIT: I only just noticed that you're in Saudi Arabia. I have absolutely no idea what their public health system is like, so I probably shouldn't be making assumptions about your situation.

The doctor prescribed me benzetacil 1,200,000 UI
He took two needles every week and I completed the treatment within 3 weeks, 6 needles, and the symptoms disappeared. He told me that if I did a blood test, it would show positive, but it was treated because syphilis never goes away from the body, but it is also treated. I live in Saudi Arabia, and you know that having sex there without marriage is a crime, especially since They knew I was gay

I was treated for free by the Saudi government, but I was worried that they would tell the police, but I went to get treatment. Thank God, they did not inform the authorities about that. They only treated me.

Fully understand.
You were lucky.
I used to work in Dubai, so I understand about the reporting to the police.
I would be very careful.
For the future I would advise you to use condoms (if you're allowed to buy them as an unmarried man) because if you get another STI, they'll definitely report you to the police.
