On the other hand, quite a lot of the longer videos go on for too long for no real reason... I don't need for the asmr artist to make unfocused content where they throw everything and the kitchen sink in just for the sake of making longer videos. Now of course, I'm not talking about the pros/legends that can make longer quality videos, but those are only like 10% or less of the asmr artists.

The reason is to fall asleep to them, no? They're creating a soundscape long enough for you to drift off. Though ASMR can be used for various reasons, so it ultimately comes down to preference.

For me, the ideal length is around 20-40 mins. I have a couple hour long ones that I regularly fall asleep to though.

Ah, I don't use ASMR for sleeping. It's all about the tingles + relaxation for me.

Unfortunately, that's the nature of things.

When you share content from someone who is actively posting somewhere, it takes away from their potential income and can often cause them to stop posting entirely, ruining it for everyone. If you share content from someone who has quit and deleted everything they posted, you technically violate ToS because it goes against their wishes.

It's better just to discuss things and pay if you can. Save up for creators you appreciate. We don't want this thread deleted (again). It's not hard for people to find LPSG and it's bad enough that some ASMRtists have quit YouTube just from getting mentioned on here or being on the receiving end of creepy comments.

A-listers and other pseudo-celebrities with massive followings operate on a different scale, so the rules on sharing content from them get a little murkier.

It sucks and feels like it defeats the purpose of this website, but it's in everyone's best interest to be responsible and try to keep everyone happy. We can tell you if someone is worth paying for or not.
